GSK like many organisations has a centralised Financial Services (FS) organisation. A series of significant global programmes resulted in a need to focus on budgetary discipline within the broader context of service development and performance improvement.
Gary Wooliston helped to shape the FS transformation programme and the FD approved an 18 programme of work that would aim to deliver significant benefits.
Gary planned the FS transformation programme in line with existing projects and worked with the Local Financial Directors in order to establish clear ownership of local delivery. In addition Gary helped design monthly and quarterly performance targets that would deliver the 18 month programme and maintain engagement and energy levels.
GSK is now well underway in the implementation of a challenging transformation within its FS organisation.
