The Exeter is a specialist, mutual provider of healthcare and protection insurance.
OCP has advised on two IT replacement projects, bringing to bear our experience and knowledge of the life insurance industry and of managing IT change programmes.
The first project followed The Exeter’s merger with Pioneer Friendly Society in 2008.
More recently we advised on selection of a new system to meet The Exeter’s evolving strategic business requirements in an increasingly competitive market. The new system will facilitate self-service by brokers and end-customers, enable realtime pricing and speed the design and development of new products.
Our assistance for both projects involved confirming the strategic business requirements, supporting the supplier RFP, tendering and selection process, assisting commercial negotiations and mobilising the systems implementation programmes.
We worked closely with The Exeter’s Executive Board and the main Board to confirm the business case for change and to facilitate a robust and objective decision-making process.
